Derick:

And what's wrong with being Macho anyway? Does that automatically equate
to sexism? They aren't the same thing; any dictionary will show that.
Pete wasn't Macho (Roger was, and as far as I can tell women seem to
like it, so it is a GOOD thing), nor was Pete sexist as far as we really
know. In his music I see no sign of it. Even Pics Of Lily isn't sexist;
if anything it describes a male behavior which is common and
normal...just not talked about (not then, anyway). If it denigrates
anyone, it would be the man.
Or is now sexist to be a sexually aroused male? And this doesn't seem
wrong to anyone else?

...only serve to drive men and women farther apart. And what's the point
of that?

Yes; I meant mid-60's, post-Beatles debut British Rock. And yes, I
bought it too. However, I never considered it as a whole until listening
to the Rhino compilations. Taken together, it makes what the Who, Kinks,
and Stones recorded seem like Mr. T compared to Michael Jackson.

Because then we'd have to listen to it? That'd be my guess...
