I have to weigh in on this face dances debate.
I don't think Pete wasn't playing guitar, it's just mixed really low. The
reissue is much better, but the guitar is still kinda low. But I'm of the
opinion his guitar was always mixed to low. You have to listen really hard on
several songs to hear what would be considered lead guitar licks if the guitar
were properly mixed. The exception of course is on the live material.
