Re: The Who Mailing List Digest V5 #264



I don't know if Pete has split (again) from Karen, but at his recent gig 
at the Shpherds Bush Empire, during one chat between songs, he did say 
that he'd 'had a phone call from his wife earlier today - she's in 
Italy, with her new boyfriend, visting his parents - they're younger 
than she is', which sounded pretty bitchy, except that he'd prefaced the 
remarks by saying 'I had a call from my wife today - which was really 
nice, very sweet'. The whole thing came over as bitter-sweet but 
affectionate. And as for the smouldering looks he was getting from 
Tracey (gtr/vocals) - whew... the soles of MY shoes were virtually 
melting, and I was thirty rows from the front...
