Re: Who's other favorites

This is a great question. I'm glad someone took the time to bring it up. I've
often wondered what you guys like besides the Who. To add my two cents, here's
my top five:

1) The Beatles: Lyrics, melody, musicanship, creativity...etc. They have it
all. The best music ever produced in a studio.

2) The Allman Brothers Band: What a groove! They have just the right
combination of kick ass blues and some soulful sweetness. The musicianship is
amazing all around. True masters at their trades.

3) The Grateful Dead: This is mood music, no doubt, but I'm often in the mood
to just sit back and relax after a tough day or something, and this is the
music for these times. Even their uptempo stuff is layed back, and its always
mellow and sweet. Jerry's guitar is simply awesome.

4) Simon and Garfunkel, or just Simon: Poetry is great. But when one takes
poetry and adds to it two amazing voices, some neat guitar and such beautiful
melodies, you have some pretty awesome music.

5) Your basic Blues: Ronnie Earl is a favorite of mine, but Clapton, SRV, BB
King, John Lee Hooker, Robert Johnson etc...are all great to listen to.

Thats my top five. Anyone have similar tastes?
