Simon Towshend in Annapolis

Hi All,

     I am pleased to say that last Saturday I got a chance to see Simon(&
Ben) Towshend at the Sam Goody CD store in Annapolis, MD.  Simon & Ben did
about 20 minutes of solo acoustic numbers from their album "Among Us".  It
was a great set topped off by a quote worth remembering from Simon "It's
fuckin' hot in here, ain't it!".
     After the mini-show Simon and Ben stuck around and signed autographs for
the 10-15 people that were there(including one lady who I think is crazy and
took at least 25 pictures of Simon and Ben)!!!  They both signed my CD and
Simon signed an AD from my Guitar World magazine which featured him.  I had a
great time and they were truly nice and friendly. When I mentioned that I had
to go get a (don't kill me) Spice Girls CD for my sister's upcoming birthday,
Ben said " Go For It-I would buy it just to look at the cover".  After
chatting with simon about guitar technology and technique(WOW!!!!) I decided
to leave and let the crazy woman get her 26th picture.
       After hearing "AMONG US" and seeing Simon live I feel that he is
greatly unappreciated and underrated.  He is a fine talent.  I think we
should all make a effort to support him in his career with or without THE
WHO.  I plan too see the Simon Towshend Band on their upcoming tour.  You
should too!!
