A question regarding the Beatles and a mailing list...

Now before I get a wave of hate mail, let me make a couple of things clear.
First, I love the Who. I think they are the best rock band, especially
live rock band, that ever was, and ever will be. Second, I love this list.
Through it I've gotten to know a lot of really cool people who were and
still are informative and helpful in all Who-related things. So, when I
ask this next question, please do not question my loyalty to the Who or
their music.

Before I was exposed to the Who, my all time favorite band was the Beatles.
I still love the Beatles, and consider them to be the only other band that
can stand up there with The Who. Like I said, the Who were and still are
the best rock band. The Beatles, on the other hand, I don't consider pure
rock. They had a wide range and/or style than the Who, which puts them in
a different category. So to those who say you can't have two favorites, I
say you're wrong.

Anyway, let me get to the point. When I joined this mailing list about a
year ago, I knew very little about the Who except that I knew I liked their
music. In the past year, I have collected a multitude of books, videos,
poster, bootlegs, etc., and have even seen them in concert. I now consider
myself a very well informed fan. So, be that as it may, would anyone be
able to recommend a good mailing list that is associated with the Beatles?

When I first started using the computer, I already knew so much on the
Beatles (I have tons of books, etc. on them as well) that I thought it was
more important to hook up with some Who info. Now that I'm well
established in my Who-knowledge, I'd also like to be able to converse with
people who also are into the Beatles.

Let me reiterate that I have no intention of leaving the list. I love the
Who to death, and love talking with people about them and will consider to
do so. I was just wondering if anyone out there, who might also like the
Beatles, would be able to suggest a list to join that is as nice as this
one for the Who. That's all. So please, don't get nasty with me. After
all, I think it's perfectly all right for me to love both Pete Townshend
and John Lennon. Both musicians/writers had immense respect for one
another, and if they could appreciate each others differences, I think I'm
entitled to do the same. (By the was, Pete did say the Beatles backing
tracks were lousy in TKAA, but both he and Lennon were known for being
unrelentingly frank. That's one of the things that makes them both so cool).

As a side note to daytripper, thanks for correcting me on the spelling of
Jimmy Page. I had just got finished writing about the Hendrix plaque, and
so was still thinking that it was spelled Jimi, instead of Jimmy.

Cheers,

Jennifer Fox
