The Real Who Albums

Just a question for anyone who'd like to discuss it:

What are The Who's real albums? In other words, which ones really belong
in the Who canon and which ones are compilations or live albums that were
put together outside of The Who's direct involvement? What constitute
the core works and which the periphery? Here's the ones I'm sure of:

My Generation
A Quick One
The Who Sell Out
Tommy
Live At Leeds
Who's Next
Meaty, Beaty Big & Bouncy
Quadrophenia
Odds & Sods
The Who By Numbers
Who Are You
The Kids Are Alright
Face Dances
It's Hard

Some are easy to exclude. Magic Bus-The Who On Tour was not approved by
The Who and Who's Last was taken away from John to be reselected and
remastered (if the term "master" and Who's Last can be included in the
same sentence).

But what about these?

Direct Hits
The Story Of The Who
Quadrophenia-The Soundtrack
Hooligans
Rarities
Singles
The Who's Greatest Hits
Who's Missing
Two's Missing
Join Together
30 Years Of Maximum R'n'B
My Generation-The Very Best Of The Who

Would anybody include the videos/movies?

And let's not even start on the whole Backtrack series.
