TV commercials

Dear disgruntled listers,

Why the big deal about the Who making a buck on a Ford commercial.  They have
been making commercials for years.  Not very often but none the less, still
making commercials.

Why do people get into rock and roll in the first place?  Normally three
reasons:
1.  make music
2.  make money 
3.  get laid 

If people want to pay cold hard cash for something you created, why not?  Who
are they selling out anyway, their fans, bullshit.  PT may have socialist
leanings but he has never shyed away from capitalism.  Any time any of you
purists make a tape, buy a bootleg or copy something off vh1 you are
essentially ripping off the band.  So why not let them get something in
return.  Besides if I have to watch a commercial I'd prefer the Who.

And just think the prima donna acts coming out these days who think their too
good to "sell out"  see what their music's doing in 30 years.  Assuming
anybody cares.
