Veteran stars -- and some of the unsung backroom boys of pop -- will b=

recognised with gold badge awards today.
Gary Glitter, Kiki Dee, Frankie Vaughan, Eddy Grant, and Radio 2
presenter Ken Bruce are among this year's recipients of Gold Badge awards=
from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors.
But also honoured will be the Rolling Stones' engineer, harmonica play=
er
on Karma Chameleon and the composer of Eurovision winner Save All Your
Kisses For Me.
The Basca awards have been running for 22 years and will be presented =
at
the Savoy Hotel in the Strand.
