Who Rocks America

Not only is it the best thing on the tape...it's probably my favorite
all-time Who performance. I was a 16 year old high school junior in late
1982, and my first real introduction to The 'Oo was the PPV telecast of the
so-called "Final Concert." Townshend is terrific during TQO, Entwistle is
equally magnificent. My friend taped the show and we must have watched it a
hundred times. When the "Who Rocks America" video was released shortly
thereafter my Mum was kind enough to get me a copy. The tape itself has
worn as thin as tissue paper because I've watched it so many times.

What really bugs me about the WRA release is all of the
overdubs...particularly during JAE's singing. I thought the concert was
great as is; many of the overdubs sound like s**t.

Once upon a time I had a cassette copy of the KBFH broadcast of portions of
the show which included what I think were its two highlights, TQO and
Drowned. If anyone out there has an audio copy of this show I'd love to
trade for it. E-Mail me privately if you're interested.

Isn't a live version of TQO scheduled for release on one of the two reissue
CD's due to hit stores next week?
