I think what Pete did in Horse's Neck was rather clever. Rather than
have everything in the world symbolize the phallus, he had the phallus
act as a symbol for everything else. It's backward Freud in reverse
without the double negative. The guitar didn't symbolize the phallus,
nosirree bob. The phallus symbolized the guitar! Because the guitar
is closer to center of his inner conciousness than the phallus.
