Hi Folks ,
This is my first posting to this list . I just started subscribing
about one week ago . I've been a big fan since I started seriously
listening to the band back in college ( late '70s ). Quadrophenia
has always been my favorite album so it really blew me away when the
band began playing it last year on tour . I saw them last Fall in
Worcester Ma. It truly was THE BEST concert that I have ever seen !
I'd like to post a question for a musician fan . Does any one know
how Pete's Gibson SG was set up around the time of Live At Leeds ?
What I mean is ; was Pete playing with standard humbuckers or custom ?
Also what was he using for electronics for various effects.
I just bought my first guitar , a Gibson Epiphone G-400 . A little
late in life perhaps , but I want to move beyond just being a passive
listener . Pete always looks like he's having so much fun ! I want to
feel the power of the music . Even if I'm playing thru a 25 Watt amp
instead of a stack of Marshalls. The way I see it , better to have
tried even at this point in my life ( 3 months short of 40 ! ) , than
to look back some day in the future with regret . My inspiration has
and always been Pete Townsend .
