An introduction and more!

Greetings from soggy Northern California!
My name is Todd Thornton. I work as the News Director for the Northstate
Public Radio Network in Chico, CA. I'm probably the only person in the
world working at a classical music radio station with Who posters covering
the walls of my office. I've been a fan since about 1980 (back when I was a
boy),and the live releases over the past couple of years have really
reignited my passion for the group. I grew up in Los Angeles, and in the
early 1980's it was hard for me to find a lot of the obscure B-side type
material that's now become a lot more accessible. I believe it was Polydor
that released a couple of rarities albums around that time, and I ate them
up.
Over the past two years I've picked up the extended Live at Leeds CD, the
retospective boxed set, and the Isle of Wight CD. It's a true joy for me to
now have TWO live versions of "Heaven and Hell" when I once had none. I'm
eager to see what's out here on the mailing list...I'm looking forward to
seeing everybody's postings.
On a somewhat related topic...just last week I found the new CD version of
the Rainbow Concert! (I know, I know, I'm well behind the times).
Clapton's genuine gratitude to Pete comes through clearly, and the music is
great.
And, for the record, my favorite song is "Pure and Easy."
