Re: Pete About Page

My fault; I wasn't quite obvious enough. I shouldn't have resisted the
urge to write that Page was on his knees to Pete saying: "Pleeeease let
me play the lead on your absolutely brilliant new single ICE." That's
what I get for restraining myself...

So what you're suggesting is that I should write a book about it, then?
Good idea! If my accuracy need be no better than Behind Blue Eyes...I
hope I can depend on all of the list members to buy a copy? I promise it
will be entertaining, if not too accurate. Take, for instance, the time
Robert Plant made a pass at Keith Moon...cheeky devil...this was, of
course, during Keith's Nazi phase, and...

Yes, IMHO. Good Times, Bad Times is a good song but not particularly
noteworthy (IMHO) in the grand scheme of Rock music. If I were going to
cite a song from that album, I'd use Communication Breakdown (a very
Who-like song) or Your Time Is Gonna Come.
But a classic? Yes, I'll agree with you there.

That does make more sense. Davies himself must have liked it, because he
rewrote it several times...

It's how they're used that counts. Speaking of which, tomorrow I will be
seeing The Who (and several of you, I hope) at Raleigh. The recent
reviews give me hope that it will be even better than MSG last year.
