Sparks VS Sparks

I'd have to differ with you there. I think that it could have been
edited in, mainly because there's a break there. So it would present no
problem.
They may not be exactly the same, and I'm no guitarist, but they sure
sound so alike that it's damned hard to hear a difference.
However, please note that I'm not saying that it definitely WAS added,
simply that it is certainly possible and gave some supporting reasoning.
I don't know for sure, nor (as you say) is it likely that we will ever
know for sure.
If it makes you feel better, here's some evidence that they didn't add
it: The Who DID reprise the See Me/Feel Me section of WGFA in the MG
jam. So perhaps they did the same with Sparks.

I seriously doubt that was an edit. I think instead it was a comment
Keith made just before the song started. What makes you think it was
added? That it came so close to the song? I think had it been an edit,
they would have brought it out front more...at least in the remix if not
before.

Since it would have meant a big change to the song, I'm not so sure
about that. Here's some more evidence that it was added: none of the
other versions of MG I've heard from that period have a Sparks section.
Which is not conclusive, since LAL also had the only live Sally Simpson
as well.
We may never know, but it's certainly interesting...
