A disagreement. George Tremlett has The Who appearing on Murray The K's
TV series "Coliseum" on the 2nd followed the next day by the end
of their engagement at Brooklyn’s Fox Theater. From there, he says
they fly directly to Germany for concerts with John's Children featuring
Marc Bolan. John Atkins, however, puts the "Coliseum" show on the 4th.

Further disagreement. John Atkins and others have The Who beginning a
German tour on April 4th and ending on April 16th. Two date listed as
Essen on the 9th and Dusseldorf on the 11th. The Who also were seen
performing "Pictures of Lily" on the German TV Show "Beat Club" on the
18th.

However, recent liner notes have The Who recording "Pictures Of Lily" at
IBC Studios, London on the 5th and "Doctor, Doctor" at Ryemuse Sound,
London on the 7th. A Swedish camera crew filmed the "Pictures Of Lily"
sessions for later airing on their TV show "Popside." And Tremlett says
The Who began 6 days of performances at The Saville Theatre, London with
The Jimi Hendrix Experience and The Koobas. The show is presented
jointly by Lambert/Stamp and Brian Epstein

On the 20th, The Who perform at Brighton Dome

On the 22nd, "Pictures Of Lily" backed with "Doctor Doctor" is released
in Europe. In Britain it reaches #4. In Sweden it goes to #11.

On the 24th, The Who perform at the Bath Pavillion, on the 25th at High
Wycombe, and on the 29th at the Alexandra Palace in London as part of
the "Fourteen Hour Technicolour Dream." Also on the bill is Pink Floyd,
Soft Machine, The Pretty Things and Marc Bolan’s band John’s Children.
John Lennon attends but principally to see a performance "happening" by
Yoko Ono.
