Friday night gig

Finally home from NYC. I don't know if I could add too much to what was
already posted regarding last nights show except...

Bob Mould was certainly excellent! His heart was into his
performance...I did not expect such an intense effort by him. It is,
however, too bad that some shitheads must yell things like "Blow me",
"You suck", "Fuck you", etc., etc from only 10 feet away when such an
excellent artist is attempting such an intimate thing FOR YOU. What a
bunch of *children* (you know who you are)...why would you want to behave
like complete dickheads in public? Mould is probably used to dealing with
crowd-crap...it is part of the job. He was a bit pissed and seemingly let
down. Whatever.

Townshend: brilliant! And quite funny too! He certainly knows how to
handle the best of the hecklers. The brief interactions with "loud voice"
almost had me on the floor laughing. The music was simply enchanting. I
was so happy to hear "I am an animal" and "the shout" on that little
guitar with the open tuning. There is so much more to say about the
experience seeing Pete last night but words just cannot do it right now.
I think you all know what I mean.

It was great to meet up with those of you who hit the Rum Hole prior to
the show and I had fun getting to know some of you while we waited
"sardine-style" on the floor (yes, ALL of you); I am glad I got to do
that. It was a pleasure to meet Mason and Joel and great to see Alan M. &
the Texas contingent.

Back to sleep...
