hMMM... so someone like me can come along and say...

I THINK 'IT'S HARD' IS A GREAT ALBUM!

Should someone else say, "Well WhiteFang says it's good, so..."

I've had this conversation with Chris and we totally disagree. So what. He
also picked the cuts for the box set. Naturally, it was HIS taste that
reflected the song lineup...

>>2 - MSF chose WAY for a release of a Gold disc not IH.

Yeah, so. They didn't use (as opposed to "chose") "Who By Numbers" either.
Does that imply that "Who Are You" is better than it, too? Perhaps it had
something more to do with a financial opportunity, due to the fact that the
MCA disc sounded so bad that fans may like an "alternative" AND pay for it...

>>Again, 4 songs from WAY - "New Song", "Had Enough", "Sister Disco" and "Who
Are You" still get FM radio airplay while you only hear "Athena" and
"Eminence Front" from IH.

Do you really believe that anything played on FM has anything to do with
anything??? Michael Jackson gets much more airplay than The Who, along your
line or reasoning, he's much better, yes?

>>On JAE's tour I believe he played both "Had Enough" and "Trick of the
Light" but I don't believe he played anything from IH.

I can answer this one for you with REAL clarity. *I* made the rehearsal tapes
for JAE and the band. On them, there was "One At A Time", which later, John
said something to the effect that it couldn't be played well, live. (after he
teased everyone by saying he hated the song...) John DID want to play "905",
but the rehearsals got cut short... BTW, this was no qualitative judgement
about the music as opposed to the thinking at the time, what would make for a
good, live show... Personally, I think "Dangerous" is a great STUDIO song,
but I don't think The Who did it well in '82 when they performed it live...
