The Ticket Scoop

Hi Folks,

Thanks for all of your kind words and appreciation. This has indeed been an
exhausting project. If I had only known... (Now I'm trying to do it all
while I'm out in California for some business and my cousin's wedding. Is it
worth it? Aargh! At least the ocean is keeping me sane.)

So anyway, you don't need to hear my personal ramblings. Here's the scoop.
I'm plugged in with several different sources in NY, CA, FL, and CO and have
access to quite a few tickets all over the floor, some in the loge, and the
odd pair in the 100 or 200 level. Just today, I talked to a couple of them
who decided that they just wanted to move some tickets, so they are dropping
some of their prices even more for me.

And yes, it all seems crazy to me (the most I have ever paid before was $150
for the front row for Pete at the Wiltern in LA), but this really is a lot
cheaper than the street price (by an average of $50+ per ticket). I know, as
I've called half a dozen NY brokers.

In brief, I've spent the past seven years building up these relationships and
developing my knowledge base so that when this day came (The Who on stage), I
would have access to the tickets I wanted. Along the way, I've built some
good connections. Anyway, they are all willing to let me have access to the
following tickets at below market prices on the condition that A) they are
being purchased for personal use and B) that I deal with the transactions.
There are plenty of tix (so they tell me), so go ahead and tell your
friends.

If you want to buy seats, as soon as you email me and I confirm, consider it
a done deal. I will need you to Fed Ex me money orders promptly. That means
that I have laid out the money and reserved the seats, and I'm trusting that
you fellow Who fans won't screw me. Changing your mind is not an option.
That means all sales are final.

Priority will be given to those who have already contacted me, but it looks
like there should be enough to go around.

All tickets are only available in pairs unless otherwise stated. Prices are
listed per ticket. Following is the brief summary:

Only $75 each.

Mon 7/22 (1 in Sec 1, Row W) -$150 - 22nd row

To the best of my knowledge, all of these prices are $50-100+ below the going
rate. If any more become available, I will try to pass the info along.

Also, I have succeeded in gaining some access to first five row seats in the
neighorhood of $400-500/seat (with the market price ranging from $600-1000).
If you are really in a position to get any of these, let me know and I'll
see what I can do for you. Also, there may be some front section singles
available. Let me know if you are interested.

I am going to re-send this message on a daily basis, realizing that some
people don't read their Who mail every day. I apologize in advance to those
who are not interested. I will do my best to update the list, but I can't
promise that I will be very good about it.

BTW, should anyone feel inspired to send me cool Who tapes/stuff as a thank
you for this thankless task... :-)

Have a great day! Over and out.
