I always thought he would have made a good Hamlet, too.  It bugs me when 
people (take note!) say Roger has no talent.  I think his problem was he has 
talent, he just doesn't know how or where to use it.  Hence "Lisztomania" and 
a handful of insipid solo albums.  Pete helped him in that respect---he knew 
what Rog could do and gave him an outlet in which to do it.
