My Generation first rock song

Shane, re
On the point of the fast single note style of metal as exemplified by
Sabbath, this also came from PT, notably from the famous single note solo in
I Can See For Miles. And there's plenty of other evidence. There are
portions of LAL and, eg., Baby Don't You Do It, where PT plays very fast
single notes with Moon and JAE thundering along with him. These portions of
songs were enormously influential. Look, if Paul McCartney's Blackbird gave
a career to John Denver, why couldn't PT invent speed metal as an aspect of
creating Rock music?..........Gary M.
