Re: The Kids Are Alright Home Video

Chris re:

just curious if anyone else out there has had trouble with the BMG
version of "The Kids Are Alright" video. I have now looked at (and
attempted to listen to) three copies of the video. The Hi-Fi audio
tracks are incredibly distorted. Overall, the audio level is way
over-modulated. Also, wasn't the entire mini-opera "A Quick One" in
the original theatrical release of the movie. This version only
includes the last song.
It seems that BMG really has put out a "special edition" of Kids. -
BAD!

i think i bought the bmg video three times & returned each one
because of the sound quality. i don't consider myself proficient
enough in judging sound quality to join the 'new quad' debate, but
this tape definitely sounded like it was in a tin can underwater.
especially the live performances.

i finally ended up renting it for three bucks and taping it.
'a quick one' comes in at the 'dang, dang, dang, dang' part.
and from what i understand, there won't be much luck trying to find
a copy with the full version.
