PT bio Behind Blue Eyes short review

I bought the new bio on Pete by Geoffrey Giuliano called "A Life of
Pete Townshend-Behind Blues Eyes" (ISBN 0 340 63266 6). Obviously I
haven't read it all yet, but I did skim through it. The first part of
the book seems to be the normal history we have all read before with
many familiar quotes. There is a sizable section devoted to the Baba
aspect of Pete's life. And finally the last part of the book is a tell
all gossip about Pete's various problems with drugs, marriage, and
sexual preference. These sordid tales are quoted from first name only
sources who may or may not be telling the truth and more importantly
WHO CARES! Obviously, this will be the selling point of the book, read
about Pete Townshend secret life. It doesn't look good. I also noticed
a few factual mistakes. There are several Appendices, a diary of
events, discography, '89 press conference, and PT interview from Jan
1995.

BTW, I love the digested list now. I download the first digest without
knowing, only to see the same 20+ messages I just deleted. Go to sleep
Bernd.
