Where's me scuba gear? AKA Report from DeKalb

"ello all,
I know the big news at the moment is the TWA crash off of Long Island, but
here in Northern Illinois, we have gotten a summer's worth of rain in a day.
I got home yesterday before it started, and it didn't seem that bad, course
I'm up on the second floor. Was supposed to have a mid-term today, but the
university was closed (had to wade through a river to get to calss only to
find it cancelled). Fortunately, the lab was still open so I got to check my
mail. Unfortunately, the lab attendant just came in and said the lab is
closing in 5 minutes. Bummer. Nothing left to do except go home and have a
little Whofest. If I'd have known this was gonna happen, I might've tried to
go to MSG last night (sigh). Mark, at least you had some warning of Bertha
(by the way, I'm back, and THANKS). I hope everyone really enjoys the MSG
shows. Wish I could be there with ya. I guess this serves me right for
singin' Drowned yesterday.
