 I don't think so. "Technically" there's nothing wrong with it. It plays and
 the "0s" & "1s" seem to be there. However, while the master tapes were
 sitting at the MCA plant, some "Zep fan" may have stuck a magnet or two on

I have another thought about this whole Quad mess.  I wonder if what you are
hearing is the sound of edits and "punch ins" that were formally masked by
the mix.  Remember that Roger's voice was more buried in the mix, and vinyl
can hide a multitude of sins.  And the clarity of digital (which is not
always an improvement) has made many formally hidden problems show up bright
as day.

Just a thought.  And I still like the new Quad a lot!
