Yes I'd say he could now play more notes per second faster than 1970, however I reserve the right to think that Barney Kessel licks played at high volumes is not as good rock as the simple three chord sequence used to good effect over and over in Relay, Magic Bus, WGFA, The Real Me, Punk vs. Godfather, etc. He knew more technique in 18982 than on LAL, but....
