Gary,

"I love you maaaan". No I don't want your Bud Light. Anyway, I totally
agree. Even though the Who are my favorite band (just because I like to
choose favorites) that doesn't mean I can't listen to anything else. I find
it silly how some go out of their way to collect a mono mono mono mono
stereo version of Magic Bus from Thailand. Why!?!? What's the purpose in
this? Instead of spending the tens to hundreds of dollars on one band, why
not use that money to discover other bands or types of music? I have a
modest jazz collection, a small but growing classical collection (I'm the
most picky here) and a very large rock collection of a wide range of
artists. I enjoy talking to list members like Mark Leaman because bands
like the Who should open bigger discussions about bands of it's time. This
is how the uninformed can learn and maybe understand why the Who sound the
way they did.

Personally if I listened to the Who constantly, I'd go insane! Does that
make me no less a fan than the person who might have 100 boots and 100
various copies of released albums? Anyway, it would be nice to see more
open minds on this list.
