re: PT's '89 offer

Great info on PT's offer of a "studio" lp in '89....I wonder out loud
whether this would have been some of the material that ended up on
"Psycho.." (and I know I'm about to be crucified...) I really think PT's
stuff(post-EG) went progressively downhill, (bashing may proceed..) The
concept or theme projects from:
Tommy (very much a reflection of the spirituality of the time...plus at
least six tunes that are great songs on their own),

Lifehouse,(totally ahead of it's time, not really one bad song...too bad
the young vic shows may have sapped the momentum of the project..)

to Quad (great songs, great "historical" piece..i've used it in my history
classes to compare/contrast with the u.s.youth culture of the period)

to WHite city (again an excellent look back at a past--more so in the
video-- best line..."Me ?..I went back on the road..wit' the boys..")

to Iron Man(ok...not as strong..but when my children are born i'm sure i'll
read the book to them....maybe tooooo ambitious ?)

to Psycho...{ready to bash me...ok...set ....GO!) I really have a hard time
listening to the whole thing, it's kinda not so good ?

...is there a pattern here or not ? help me out...

If psycho...is what the who lp of '89 might have been...I don't know, would
it have been a disappointment...comments, bashing, debates...may
proceed....

peace....
pete best
