Re: The Who Mailing List Digest V3 #503

I've stayed out of all of this silly "nothing has been done in rock since
the Who" stuff, but I have to respond to something I read today. Because
one poster didn't like the P.J. Harvey album, that means that Christgau's
proclamation of genius is wrong? C'mon, his love of her music is HIS
opinion, just as your hatred of her is YOUR opinion. Nothing more, nothing
less. There isn't a right or wrong answer. Personally, I hate Yes and ELP
and all of the others that have been getting some nice mentions lately. I
also am a fan of Bob Mould, who's gotten quite a bit of bad press. Nobody
is right or wrong, it's just a matter of taste.
