RE: The Who Mailing List Digest V3 #501

Probably no one cares, but I happen to be a big fan of the Monkees
as well (well actually more of a mike nesmith fan, since he
was the most talented one there). Yes it is true that they didn't
write all their songs (but the ones that they did happen to write
happen to be their most creative efforts artistically rather than
the commercially sucessful ones by Boyce/Hart or neil Diamond.
and it is not true that they didn't play their instruments.
after their first album, they did contribute musically to their
albums.  Because they were invented and ruled by TV they were
never taken seriously. Oh well, no one cares, I'm blabbing for
nothing....sob, sob!
oh yes, the content...THE WHO... THE WHO...THE WHO...
