Who I'd Like To See Open For The Who

After reading the kind words about Bob Mould (my other favorite artist) as
an opener for Pete, I thought it would be interesting to talk about who we'd
like to see open for The Who:

1. Bob Mould- if you've never listened to him, I'd recommend "Black Sheets
of Rain" for a 1st timer. His thought provoking lyrical content and no
nonsense guitar hooks make him more than adequate. He also teams up with
some drummers who kind of emulate Moony.

2. Iggy Pop- I dance around like an idiot whenever I play Iggy stuff. That's
not a pretty sight since I'm 6'5" 235lbs and look like a big librarian!

3. Jesus & Mary Chain- The antihesis of the Who! Opposites attract! I also
dance around like an idiot when they are playing.

4. The Call- Anybody remember The Call? Love those guys.

5.Warren Zevon- Mr. Sardonic Wit of Rock-N-Roll himself! Send Lawyers, Guns,
And Warren.

BTW: One of the 3 local AOR radio stations here played: "In a Hand or Face"
the other day. I'm not Gomer Pyle, but "surprise, surprise, surprise!"

Love and Rockets, (oooh another good idea for an opener)
