PT in NYC

I'm not a Philadelphia Flyer, but.....Hey White Fang, count me in for
meeting before the PT show on Saturday 5/4. I'll be there with Marty S.
and Gary "little m". I'm looking forward to the show and meeting some
more wholisters. I had a blast at the JAE show in Old Bridge, NJ a few
weeks ago (my ears had a blast too, literally).

On another subject, I just picked up TBOPT at Tower Records in Northeast
Philly last night. For those of you still looking for it, I had a tough
time finding it. The store didn't have any discs under the PT rack
(although they had enough John Travolta CD's to make a 6-piece coaster
set for everyone on thewho list). I finally found it under in the new
release bin (how about that! :) ) For anyone that cares, PT was sold at
full price ($15.99) while Hootie and the Blowjobs, pardon me, Blowfish,
where marked down from $15.99 to $11.99. And there were only 3 PT CDs
left (now there are only two :) ) while there must have been enough
Hootie CDs to make 6-piece coaster sets for everyone at the Quad show
this summer. While I wouldn't have complained about paying $11.99 for
PT, it was nice to see that he hadn't been marked down right away.
Supply and demand and a little record company marketing I guess. I
listened to the disc and must say it sounds pretty good to my ears. I
also like the liner notes from Pete. I was really surprised to learn the
Let My Love open the Door is about God. Did anyone else ever notice
that? I always thought it was a neat little song but never really paid
much attention to the meaning in the lyrics.

See you in NYC!!
