I couldn't care less how many people hate or love Nina Simone on that 
disc; for my tastes, she was just fine; though it would have been rather 
odd to have Pete sing both the voice of the boy and the purple people eater.

As for your poll, I can tell you right now that category (a) would win, 
since no one (well, maybe you) listened to that disc and said, "God, this 
Simone bitch really Bashirs!"
