Speaking of Gold discs and remixes.  Does anyone care for the single disc 
remix of Tommy that was released a couple of years ago?  I have the 
original vinyl, the original 2 CD set, the Gold CD and the remix.  I wanted 
something that would equal the record on just one CD.  Still looking, 
although I think the Gold CD is OK.

I thought the remix really sucked.  I'd be interested in how others felt 
about it.  Is there any chance that the will remaster it again now that 
they are redoing everything else?

Are you talking about the "Remastered" version?  Assuming that you are, 
I thought it sounded great.  I have the gold disc, too, and had the original
2-disc release, and I wanted to get the single-disc release (to have the 
whole dbl-lp on one disc, like you wanted).... 
        I know I read something about Tommy getting the remix treatment down
the road -- I believe it was posted in the list awhile ago, unless it was in
ICE -- and word was there were going to be "some minor alterations" (MY       
words!) to the mix... so I guess this remains to be seen.
