Re: Pete Live 9/10/95!

Wow WF, you posted quickly. After you left, Paul Simon played, then Annie
Lennox (Paul came out to do a duet with her), then Wynton Marsalis and a
jazz orchestra.

The encore was (get this):
Paul Simon's band came out with Paul, Pete, Annie and Wynton and they took
turns singing (Well Wynton played trumpet for some of the verses) "You can
call me Al." Pete started the first few verses and when he got to the line
about being "soft in the middle" he cracked up started laughing and missed
a few lines, then continued for a bit. Annie also has some trouble with
the lines. While other people were singing, Pete was doing his goofy
dancing.

Personally, I was incredibly thrilled to see Pete play an unusual set, with
about half of it on piano. I also agree that Pete seemed in good spirits,
was very chatty, and didn't drink liquor on stage.
