I never even thought about it being Lennons B'day, till I saw someone
post it. And I think that the person who posted it did it with some
type of assumption that there were other people that may have liked
the Beatles growing up, or still may. I don't think that that was or
is a far fetched notion. When this persons post was commented with
"Lennon Shemmon, who cares, its Entiwstles birthday", all I did was,
in a spur or the moment thing, said that I cared. I wasn't going to
go into some "I can't beleive he is still dead" or "the Beatles are
still more popular than the Who" rant. I only started to rant when you
started to put other things into the conversation that really were not
neccessary. LIke telling a freind about German cars as opposed to some
domestic jalopy that he was still driving. You really picked up all the
wrong vibes from what was said orignally. It was an off the cuff remark
I made about John Lennon. Whhhhoooopppeeee!!!! Your comments were only
suitable in a conversation where I would be comparing the two groups
somehow. There was no such topic started by me. You were too defensive
when there was really no oppostion.

Cool. But you really would not even add a "one line comment" to the person
who said something total derogatory about Townshend? I would hope that
since you are a fan of the mans work that you may chime in and say something
back. This is just natural. Whether it be a major arguement or just a passing
comment.

Thats all I did.

But you attacked me. You were making comments to the effect of "they are
old and washed up and boring, only the Who are good" or "what, do you think
that the beatles are girls?"

Can you tell me where I was defending the Beatle ? I was defending MYSELF
for liking the Beatles. I was the one who was the joker for even bringing
them up in this list. My whole point was that I once listened to the music,
liked some of the stuff that they did, and was glad that I listened to the
Beatles because they were the first "rock" that I knew. John Lennon wrote
some nice things ( stuff for another list ) but, if he never did, who knows
what other music I would have adapted as a younger person. The Beatles were
a stepping stone to the Who. And I have yet to find reason to go a step higher.
I am a full fledged Who fan. But I can't just forget alll the music I liked
as a kid. And thus, today, I still remember the Beatles for being there then,
and the time that I discovered the Who.

It sure seemed that you jumped right in when I was telling your "freind"
jim that there are people who liked the Beatles in their early life.
There was no comparison being made, but you went ahead and assumed that
I was the heavy. That there was some beef. There wasnt. There are alot of
people that liked the beatles to some extent in their life and would have
made the same comment I made. Who list or no Who list.

BAck to the sarcasm. I try ny best to explain what the whole deal is, but
you feel the need to play MachoCyberMan and talk and talk and talk....
By the way, the rumor started when Yesterday and Today came out.....I thought
you said you knew more than me ?

Dude, turn down Tommy and take the Daltrey wig off. Your head is getting to
tight. Go write your little letter to Bill Curbishley and make the whole
catalog change for every Who freak in the world, and we can all come by
and do windmills by your house. The one that you bought with the cadillac.

And I'm shooting every 1/2 court shot I can and all you hear is Swish,,,,,

I was expecting that "your a child, I'm an adult" comment sooner or
later. You really must be an expert at flames on that star trek
list. Do you have attitude problems in non-email environments as well ?

If you really feel the need to rant and rave more, then, email me.

I know that you are getting some rocks off by posting these things
to the whole list, and I am guilty of the same thing. But if you really
want to annoy just me, then email me.

DINNNNNG!!!! your 15 minutes of flame is up....Now back to being the
WhoMaven that we all know you are. The self appointed Grand Pooba
of The Alright Kids Klan. The one who no one dares mention anything
even fractionally unrelated to the Who without ye Holy tirade.
