Howdy:

Just a brief note re:the envelope follower. We used to call it a "pick 
wah" You pick, it wahs. 

Although it is a pedal, one only sets the amount of wah. There's no need 
to touch it once it's on unless one wants to change the wah amount. I 
found it good for certain 70s-style effects, but pretty dated-sounding 
now.
