   Dave Marsh says in "Before I Get Old" that that particular comment came after
Jeff Stein, the film's director, forced the Who to go back out at Shepperton and
do "Won't Get Fooled Again" after their regular set was over, as he didn't have 
a suitable live version to use for the film.  Pete, tired after the set, was 
pissed off about this (and by Stein's impertinence, one imagines), but went back
out.  As soon as the Who re-took the stage, the fans in the crowd began shouting
requests at the band, producing the comment in question from Pete.
