Re: Welcome

Dear Ms. (Who) Girl,
Thank you for the <burp> warm welcome. Gee, "WHOGIRL" is a catchy
handle, babe. It'd look great on personalized license plates! <Thought
to myself: "Golly, is 'Who Girl' an Irish name?">
RE: My First Who Album. The first album I ever bought was the Who
By Numbers. I was nine, and in music class at school we were playing
with sandpaper woodblocks. Naturally, the first time I heard the
sandpaper woodblocks in "Slip Kid," I could instantly relate, and had
my parents buy the album for me (after my considerable whining, they
got fed up and said, "All right, all right, we'll buy the album for you
- JUST SHUT UP!!!"). And as soon as I got it...... I connected the
dots with a ballpoint pen! <G> I've been hooked ever since.... on the
Who, not ballpoint pens.
RE: First Who Concert. That's easy: I've never been to one. That
cheesy TOMMY tour came to Indianapolis, but I avoided that money-
grubbing farce like the plague. I did, however, live about 2 hours
north of Cincinnati when the stampede at Riverfront coliseum occurred
in 1979. I never saw this, but supposedly (they had this in the
newspaper, btw) a couple kids at another school in the county who went
to the Who concert woke up the next morning and found blood on their
shoes. That's as close as I ever got to a Who concert, sadly.
RE: First Who Experience. You mean you want me to tell you when I
first popped my Who cherry? Humgph! I must protest your licentious
demeanor, madame! Forget it! If you want to hear sordid and uncouth
tales of woe like that, watch Oprah!!! <G>
  Every good wish--Tom Farrell

P.S. Oh, dear, it seems I've gone over my allotted 25 words. What
punish will PSROX@AOL.COM administer to/on me? <shivers of fear>
