Hmmm...that's a tough one. Can they be compared? Anything can be compared.
Is Veddar's work as good as Townshend's? You have to deal with that in the
context of when the writing was done (after all, a lot of new songs are
better than early `60s songs...now). So what you must do is compare PJ's
work to PSYCHODERELICT.
I love PJ, personally. OK, their last album was a bit weak, but so was A
QUICK ONE so any band should be given that much room.
So I would say, IMHO, that Veddar has moments when he hits as high as
Townshend does, and Pete has definitely hit a low patch here and there.
Yeah, I know...that's no answer...
