I was at Wembley Stadium for Live Aid -- what a great experience. This
was the first time for me to see any version of the Who, since I missed
their local stop on '82 tour.

I waited all day for them to take the stage, suffering through Spandau
Ballet's and Nik Kershaw's performances. I nearly cried when the
sound died during My G-g-g-generation -- my friend kept telling me to take
it easy, breathe, they'll fix it, etc. I thought LROM was the best of
their 4 songs.

It was a nice bonus to have PT singing with McCartney and others (Bowie,
Alison Moyet, Geldof? I can't remember) at the end, too. Speaking of sound
problems, I remember that McCartney's mike wasn't working at the beginning
of Let It Be.
