Subject: Re: What got you hooked ?

What got me hooked??? Tough question....the organized chaos....the pent up
aggression...the awesome power of the live performances....
My first live show was August 1970 or was it 71 same night as the Bangladesh
concert at Madison Square Garden I sat in the seventh row at what was then
Forest Hills Tennis Stadium....after that I followed them in the late fall
of 1973 from Phillly to Boston to WashDC...the photo in the Odds and Sods
albu
m was taken at Capitol Centre in DC on Dec 6 1973 not in November ....My
picture appears in the cutout on the cover under Kieths arm I'm the one
wearing glasses with a look of absolute amazement on my face...
that was the last show of the Quad tour aka Fallout Shelter...and it ended at
about 1hr 15 min when Keith tossed his drums over....in the years since then
I have seen the band many times in many ways.
I have been fortunate to meet all the members of band briefly on numerous
occasions through various coincidences and i feel even more fortunate to
have
experienced some great partying with Kieth when he was with us... over the
years my love for the Who and particularly my appreciation for PT's work has
grown deeper..the older I get the harder it becomes for me to believe how
strong a thread the Who have been throughout my life....and continue to be
Today I purchased LAL ltd ed # 002365 and Idon't plan on taking the celephane
off as I purchased the CD on 2/14...(i purchased the Ltd Ed because I liked
the low number and couldn't believe it was still in the store) I collect lots
of Who video (some quite obscure) have lots of personal photos...and don't
have the time to participate on the list as much as I'd like but I read
almost everything...recently I forwarded some of the listers comments
regarding the the new Leeds to PT through his PA Nicola as I was giving him a
video of him with his Dad from the early 80's appearance on the Tom
Parkinson Brit Tv talk show... well if you've read this far you know that I
love the Who and have for along time and propbably will for alot
longer.......

thanks for letting me share......
