the kids ARE alright!

   This is in response to Jay, who asked a LOT of questions about the movie,  
"THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT".  This is a sore topic with me.  I remember seeing it
when it was first released, as a midnite matinee (I think it played as a dbl-
feature with something else -- zeppelin's "TSRTS", or some hendrix footage --
WHATEVER!).  Anyway, when the video came out, I was really excited, but   
really disappointed to discover that it was clearly edited down from it's    
original form.
                                                   
   The most glaring omission was A QUICK ONE;  in the original movie, the     
whole song is performed.  Thankfully, it looks like the whole R&R CIRCUS 
project will soon be released, according to one message I read yesterday
(I'm sorry I do not remember who sent that, but thank you to you, whoever 
you are!!).   (who are you?!)

   I think HEATWAVE was also in the original cut, but omitted from the video.
(I think it is mentioned in the closing credits, along with other tracks that
were omitted).   

   I suspect copyright rights are the reasons that half of AQO was cut;  
that is probably why any stuff was edited out of the movie for video release.
Anyway, there ya are..

   Also, to john golomb, I think that clip of james honeyman scott holding up
his guitar from pete townshend is in the pretender's singles video 
compilation, but I am not certain.   

   I will keep my eyes peeled (OUCH!)  for any other questions that I may have
the answers to, and PLEASE -- I WANT THE MAGIC BUS!
