Re: who's next etc. #2

Hi,

John:

I remember reading in the booklet that accompanied "The Kids Are Alright"
soundtrack that Join Together, Let's See Action, Relay, and Won't Get
Fooled Again were written as 'four thematically linked singles' (or
words to that effect - I don't have it handy). Has anybody seen
elaborations on this elsewhere? Personally I don't have a problem
with viewing Naked Eye or Join Together as "Who's Next" songs - wasn't
joining together with the band the whole point of Lifehouse? As it
turned out I guess it was a little difficult for the band to join
with the audience when they kept screaming "Play Magic Bus!"

Yes, thematically I also think these songs would fit in very well in
a Lifehouse type box set. Because then a theme would matter. Now with
releasing "Who's Next", the music would be the most important thing.

That's why I think this release is a compromise. They've added typical
Lifehouse songs to a record that deliberately tried to stay away from that
concept. Did Glyn Johns pick these extra tracks? I don't think so.

I really love "Naked eye" and I think "Join Together" is an OK song too,
but are they "Who's Next" songs? Hmmmm....
