I agree.  Happened to me, both sides.  Remove molding.  Turn upside down on a 
pile of clean towels, foam, etc. to prevent painted side from becoming 
marred.  Scrape off existing foam tape with a straight razor blade.  Use 
acetone to remove all sticky residue and clean all oils off surface.  Clean 
area on car with acetone (careful not to get on adjacent paint).  Apply 2 
sided tape to molding.  Press into place with good amount of steady force.  
Recommend doing this in temp. above 60 degrees.  My have been perfect for 4 
yrs. now.
