Euro Fender Flares: Need help

Hi everyone,

I have just received some Euro Fender Flares that I want to install on
my
Jetta, but have a few questions before I begin.

The front flare came with a small front fender side moulding and a clip
Do I utilize this? or trim this off?

I will need to roll my fenders for some tire rubbing issues, and wanted
to trim down the
fender lip attachment points to my flares.
What is the best way to attach them to the car if I remove the mounting
points?
Adhesive? Double sided tape? Bubble gum?

I noticed in this thread:

mention of building up the material in the rear???
Any suggestions on how this is accomplished?

For those of you that installed these flares: did you cut off the small
tab that appears
as if it will "tuck" in behind the bumper cover???
