Title: RE: Stupid rubber trim on the door...

It is amazing how a problem we all share, can re-activate a quite list.

what he said....

Just get all the old crap off.  A little WD-40, some turpentine, a putty
knife and elbow grease.  I may have gone over board, but I wasn't going to
do it again!  Make sure you then clean well with soap and rinse the hell out
of it.  Have fun

Nathan, I had this problem, as it was said to me..... 3 words 3M
double-sided tape. (or is that 4 words?)
Take the whole strip off and put that tape on the entire plastic strip after
you clean the old junk off. Super easy man.

My specific problem is the back 6 inches on the driver's door... Anyone know
the best way to
re-attach this? I'm annoyed enough to use some SERIOUS epoxy at this point
:-)

Is there any reason not to? Is there anything behind that strip that needs
accessing at any point?
Please let me know how you've handled this problem (judging from the number
of Jettas I have seen
with that piece missing, most of you know exactly what I'm talking about).

Thanks!!
