I'm back, folks!

I had a lot of fun with my Audi S6, but I decided to go back to the 
VW line, and am currently leasing a Golf 1.8T!

As someone who has driven a VR6, a 5 cyl. 2.3T (in the S6), and now 
the 4 cyl. 1.8T, they are all fun cars to drive.

I went back to the Golf for a few reasons. First, I don't think I 
like the larger sedans. I think I prefer smaller cars, because I 
don't usually have a lot of passengers. So, until I can afford 
payments on something like a new TT, or an M3, or a Porsche Carrera, 
I'm back to the VW line. :)

Secondly, my stick shift was killing me in the heavy traffic we have 
here in the northwest. Don't get me wrong, the S6 is a great car with 
lots of get-up-and-go (a stock S6 is about .8 seconds faster than a 
stock VR6 in 0-60), but it doesn't feel nearly as nimble because of 
it's greater size and weight.

Anyhow, enough about the S6. It's a great car for people who like 
larger cars, but I'm currently in a Golf 1.8T, which brings me to my 
question:

Does anyone know of any good Golf 1.8T resources out there?

I'm also enjoying the hatchback experience. I find I'm using the 
hatch for storing stuff instead of going into the back seat (for like 
my laptop bag, etc.)

Of course, the 1.8T isn't quite as fast as the VR6... until you get a 
GIAC chip which seems to do an AMAZING job in boosting 1.8T 
performance to stock VR6 levels!

Also, any thoughts on what kind of HP gain you might get with a K&N 
filter for the 1.8T?
