RE: Temp Problems...

clog in the coolant line? H2O pump problem? if you are running 220 in the
middle of winter something is definitely fishy. I only hit 220+ after
spirited runs in the middle of August. Right now temps are generally below
200 even with good speed.

Subject: Temp Problems...

GLXers,

It seems in the last 2 weeks I have a problem with increased heat in my
car. One day the water temp suddenly went up from the 1/3 area of the
gauge, to half, and sometimes a little over. Meanwhile, the oil temp which
normally is around 200 (maybe 208 on a long highway trip..), is now around
222. This is around town 4ht gear, 2,000 rpm driving, 40 MPHish. The only
time I have ever seen oil temps around 220 was at sustained triple digit
speeds on a VW cruise (that shall remain nameless... ), and even then the
coolant temp did not go so high. The fan is coming on, and the one that
comes on after the car shuts off if your are running hot comes on. I have
full anti-freeze, no visible leaks. I was going to replace the thermostat
next. Anyone have any input/ideas/simular experiences? Any help would be
great...

Sean
