Wheel bearing?

Okay, I have a problem with my A3 Jetta: it's making a lovely buzzing noise at higher speeds (60+),
which can be felt through the wheel... it's gotten worse recently and now is MUCH worse turning to
the right than left, but only at about 70-75mph+ which I hadn't had a chance to test when it started
about 2 weeks ago.

So, is this almost definitely the right wheel bearing about to fail on me? Could it be anything
else? I'm going to take her through the wash this afternoon and make sure it's not a lodged piece of
road, but it sounds to me like it's time for new bearings. The Jetta is just about to roll 100,000.

If it is the bearing, what can I expect to pay for new ones on the front axle installed and out the
door? Is it a difficult job? Is it easy/safe enough that a do-it-yourselfer could do or does it
require special/expensive tools?

Thanks!!!
